I Heart Faces Contest: Shilouette

My entry for this week is of my good friend, Rebecca, and with her youngest, Sophie. It is one of the first photo sessions I did when I bought my camera last summer. Although I feel my photos have become better and my technique more professional over the last year, this is still one of my ulitmate favourites! Hope you enjoy; isn't being a Mommy beautiful!

Tis the season for strawberries at our house!

STRAWBERRY MUFFINS! Only took me 15 minutes to make, including the dishes!

INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup white sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped strawberries
***(I added two "HEAPING" teaspoons of stawberry jam, too!!!)

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) oil an 8 cup muffin tin, or use paper liners.
In a small bowl, combine oil, milk, and egg. Beat lightly. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Toss in chopped strawberries and stir to coat with flour. Pour in milk mixture and stir together.
Fill muffin cups (or grease). Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until the tops bounce back from the touch. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans.

***NOTE! My oven tends to cook faster... it only took 12-14 minutes for mine to be done!***

Afternoon Alone

The boys went down for a nap, Daddy snoozed on the couch (he is doing an overnight at work today), and Mommy got to do some "quiet" editing, while drinking coffee and watching HGTV!

Here are a few photos!

I Heart Faces Contest; My favourite Face Picture!

When you have as many photos of "faces" that a gal like me has, it is VERY hard to decide on a favourite! This is one of Noah that has been voted as "the one". It is one of my (and my Hubby, Jeff's) favourites. Noah is very eagerly waiting for the school bus, on his first day of JK. It was raining, so we waited in the front hallway, mudboots on, along with his new "GO, DIEGO, GO" napsack. With all the excitement building in him, he couldn't help but make goofy faces, while Mommy snapped away. This face describes Noah PERFECTLY! He is beautiful, smart, BUSY, funny, energetic, and everything in between.

Although this is a personal family photo, and I have just gotten back into the photography, I am entering in the "Professional Category", because I have been paid for my photography services on a few occasions! So heres to biting off more than I can chew!

Please head over to IHeartFaces.com to see all of this weeks beautiful faces!

Noah, My Noah.

The count down is on. I am offically starting to loose sleep. 5 more days until we meet with the child psychologist, to determine her findings from her interview with Noah. Hopefully, with ALL the paperwork, and ALL the meetings with Noah's worker, and the Psychologists time with him, we can figure this out... Asperger's Syndrome or what. Everyday seems to be more of a challenge with him and my biggest fear is that she will say "Everything seems fine". She cannot possibly say that, but it still haunts my dreams. "This" has completely consumed his first four years... I feel as if I have lost "enjoying" him when he was little. Everything has been a challenge to over come, when we WERE able to overcome. The things that we were not able to defeat, are still a daily weight on my shoulders... who's four and a half year old STILL bites? What four year old still runs out and stands on the middle of the road? How many times have I repeated things about safety? I wish he just had "stages" like most children.

I am steps away from the answers I need to bring a little more peace to our family.

5 more days.

It has been a long journey.

Please have some answers.

Mommy's Gonna Snap!

I thought I would share some photos of us enjoying the "coming-along" yard! When I get the camera out at home, I usually get a lot more shots of Madden because Noah is too "busy" being Noah to stand still! But today I was able to get some nice ones of my "monkey"... also Madden loves the sandbox (even without the sand!) so much that he just sits in one spot the whole time we are out, and has become rather... ummm... boring to photograph!

Heard a transport!

Peeking through the trellis!

Later after a bath, playing in the playroom!

And some of Noah... for how busy he is, I love when I get a nice shot of him. It gives this very exhausted Mommy a chance to see the sweetness that is usually just a blur!

Three cheers for summer weather! This post is for you Nat! Finally! LOL!
